So my tour of social networking spaces has brought me to Vox. I'm interested to see what the minds behind Six Apart have developed and how the culture will develop in the already crowded space of social sites. First impression: the initial layout is more attractive than other sites but the banner ads tend to break up some of the design.

I'd be interested to hear what other people think of their Vox experience thus far!

I've been 'voxing' for a few months now. I've done some blogging before, for various periods of time, but I've never stuck with it. For whatever reason, Vox and I seem to have clicked. I'm really enjoying it. Maybe because I know that people are actually reading my posts rather than my just throwing them out there into the void. The community is open and friendly and I'm planning on staying with it. I mostly troll the 'Books' area and that's where I've found most of my 'neighbors'. So far, Vox seems to have attracted a good mix. I've been wondering what will happen now that it's public, though. So far so good

Thanks for the comment SteveP! I have been looking around a little this afternoon and, so far, I like what I see. I'm especially a fan of Marc John's Post-it note art. Really great stuff. Thanks for the 'Books' suggestion, I'll be sure to check it out!

Hey Justin, it's me the Crazy Cat Lady (CCL) from today's front page. Welcome to Vox. As near-Luddite, this is the only 'social networking' site I participate in. Otherwise, I'm not one to spend time on the intrawebs. I came over with a bunch of other commenters from the cuteoverload.com community. We were offered trial spots and we snatched them up. Thus, I had a built in network here - that's why you'll see a lot of us 'peeps' with our pets. It seems to be fun and easy so that's good enough for me to stay here. I hope you enjoy your experience!
